Keeping your home running smoothly is a team effort. At MainStreet Renewal, we take care of the larger system repairs and major components of the home. You handle routine upkeep and simple tasks that help prevent issues before they start.

Think of it as a partnership: you take care of the small things, and we take care of the big things.

Your Part

Caring for your home is a partnership. Your role includes handling a few simple, routine tasks that help prevent issues and keep everything functioning as it should.

Interior Care

Replace air filters monthly
Replace light bulbs and thermostat batteries
Help prevent and handle minor toilet and drain clogs by keeping drains clear of hair, wipes, and other debris
Keep appliances clean and used properly
Maintain general cleanliness of the home

Pest Control

Residents are responsible for:

Keeping the home free from visible infestations such as roaches, ants, hornets, bees, mice, and other pests.
All costs associated with pest control services, except termites.
Scheduling and maintaining any pest control service needed during the lease.

Lawn Care

Residents must maintain:

Mowing, edging, weeding, watering
Fertilizing as needed
Shrub trimming under 8 feet
Keeping porches/walkways free of debris
Driveway upkeep, including oil stain removal
Snow and ice removal (where applicable)

Submitting Maintenance Requests

Always submit maintenance requests through your Resident Portal.

HVAC repairs
Plumbing leaks or pipe failures
Water heater issues
Electrical issues
Irrigation system components (controllers, pumps, underground lines)

Repairs due to normal wear

Roof repairs
Siding on second floors
Exterior painting
Gutter cleaning on two-story homes
Tree trimming above 8 feet
Fence repairs

Structural & Safety Items

Smoke detector replacement/repair
Structural damage not caused by residents
