It is also our standard of care for every home. It’s how we make sure your home is safe to live in, clean to arrive to, and functional for everyday life — from before move-in through move-out.
Your home meets our safety standards. Doors lock, windows latch, and key safety features are checked so you can feel secure living in your home.
Your home is cleaned and refreshed before move-in. You may notice light scuffs or signs of normal wear, but your home will be comfortable, welcoming, and ready for daily life.
Major systems and appliances are inspected and tested so they’re ready to support everyday living, including heating and cooling, plumbing, lighting, and essential fixtures.
MainStreet Maintenance® is built around keeping your home Safe, Clean, and Functional.
Because of this focus, minor cosmetic imperfections from normal wear may be present and do not typically require repair. Our team prioritizes items that impact safety, performance, or the livability of the home.
Before your lease begins, our maintenance team completes a pre move-in inspection, typically about five days before your lease start date, to confirm the home meets our Safe, Clean, and Functional standard.
In select markets*, residents may be invited to attend this walkthrough. When available, this gives you the chance to see the home, ask questions, and feel confident everything is in place before move-in day.

Our in-house maintenance technicians are trained professionals who respond promptly, communicate clearly, and treat each home with care. Maintenance requests are submitted through your Resident Portal, making it easy to request service, share details, and track updates.
MainStreet Maintenance® focuses on keeping your home reliable and addressing issues efficiently when they arise.
As your lease comes to an end, some residents may have the option to schedule a move-out walkthrough with our maintenance team*. This walkthrough provides an opportunity to review the home’s condition together and understand any items you may want to address before move-out.
The walkthrough helps clarify expectations, answer questions, and highlight steps that can support a smooth move-out experience and help maximize your security deposit.
