We’re always sad to see residents go, but if it’s time for your next chapter, we’re here to help you move out with confidence. This page walks you through the steps, timelines, and resources you’ll need for a smooth transition.
If you plan to move out at the end of your lease, please submit a Move Out Notice through your Resident Portal. A 30-day notice is required unless your lease states otherwise.
Log into your Resident Portal to check for any outstanding balances. Your balance must be paid in full before your move-out date.
Important: Your security deposit cannot be applied toward your final rent payment.
Keep all utilities active through your move out date, early disconnection may result in service gaps or added charges.
Once you have confirmed your move-out date, contact your utility providers to schedule cancellation for the day after your lease ends.
If you have internet or cable in your name, please be sure to cancel or transfer those services as well to avoid delays for the next resident.
After you vacate the home, our team will complete a move-out inspection. Any damages beyond normal wear and tear will be reflected in your Final Account Statement, which is posted in your Resident Portal around 30 days after move-out.
Once your final account statement is completed, any refund due will be issued to all leaseholders and mailed to the forwarding address provided.
Please ensure your forwarding address is up to date so we can send your security deposit refund and any final documents. If a forwarding address is not provided, your refund check will be mailed to the last known address or held, per state law.
If you need to update your forwarding address, submit an inquiry in your Resident Portal and select: Move Out → Update Forwarding Address
Some residents will have the option to schedule a Move Out Walkthrough* before their move-out date. If this applies to your home, you will receive an email and text message with instructions on how to schedule your appointment.
This walkthrough gives you an opportunity to review the home with our team and understand any steps you can take before moving out. It can help clarify expectations and support you in maximizing your security deposit refund.
